Welcome nuestra belleza 2011
August is always a beautfil month in Puerto Vallarta. This year, the beaty factor promises to break records as Miss Mexico will be crowned in Puerto Vallarta, on Mexico´s Pacific coast. Puerto Vallarta has been selected to host the semifinals and finals of the tournament from 18 to 20 August as announced Emilio Gonzalez, Lupita Ontiveros and Karin Jones today.
During the press conference today, it was revealed that the annual event will this year feature three distinct phases starting in Mexico City, the country’s capital, on July 22 and will serve for participants will go through the initial trials, then the succesfful contestants will travel to Puerto Vallarta where the second event the catwalk in bathing suit, cocktail dress and costumes will take place on 18 August.
The decision to hold the contest in Jalisco was taken because for three years in a row finalists have been from Jalisco state including the current Miss Universe, Ximena Navarrete.
Final stage of the competition will take plac on 20 August, once again in Jalisco featuring the final catwalk in bathing suit, dress, and a small speech. Theis final stage features the final 15 contestants, one of which will be corwned Miss Mexico and a candidate for the Miss World 2012 contest.
In what will be the eighteenth edition of the contest, Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2010, Karin Ontiveros, and Nuestra Belleza Mundo Mexico 2010, Cynthia De La Vega will crown their successors.
The Winner of Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2011 will represent Mexico in Miss Universe 2012, Nuestra Belleza Mundo Mexico will participate in Miss World 2012, and Nuestra Belleza Mexico in Miss International 2012 International.
In all, 34 candidates will participate in these titles. Watch this space.
